I opened an account with Avatrade MT4 broker! the spread is certainly high and there were no transactions this week yet, but I am pleased with the results for the last week.
What brokers do you work with? I plan to open another account with the FBS broker, but for now I am saving some money to increase the size of the deposit.

Man, I'm so glad I opened this thread. I also work with avatrade, only for now on a demo. Can you tell me how different the results are between demo and real accounts with this broker? Because on the demo it's something
I am with darwinex, forexchief, XM, Ironfx, Forex.com I am receiving trades in all of them, all the accounts are positive, some with more others with less, only in mt4 in mt5 I had no luck, if you have high spreads try switching to the simple volume calculation method with small lots and see how it goes

Well, I guess standard is for all on same version an MT4/MT5 the same!?! Don't get your point.
It all depends on the state of the market and the work of the broker
Basically I change the parameters that are responsible for the quality and quantity of transactions by raising or lowering the values in these parameters.
TickVolume
Spread volume
Tick Pulse
Besides them I change the maximum allowable spread (because spread differs from broker to broker) and maximum execution of slippage, which allows me to disable trading on currency pairs, where values are higher than those specified and protects my deposit.

Hi, I am doing a little experiment in order to "compare" MT5 with MT4. The setup is the following:
1 Chocoping VPS - location NY (3 CPU - 3 GB)
1 MT4 terminal
1 MT5 terminal
Each acc funded with 3k - such as Jarred did.
Same pairs on both of them. Default settings!
Broker each FPMarkets (intl.) raw account - 1:500 leverage
I started on 10. of October.
I realized later that default settings are different between MT4 and MT5. Especially the auto risk value is 3 times higher on MT5 default settings. So for comparison may need to keep it in mind.
Both accounts made just a few trades .. somme losses some winners sometimes 3% gain sometimes 3% losses. Nothing to worry about. Until today.
The MT4 account is at the moment ~ 3% in plus.
The MT5 account was almost not trading at all, but it is now 135% in profit. And 125% it just today. For comparing purpose if it's not like comparing apples with pears as default settings are not the same, I may divide the 135% by 3 as auto risk is 3 times higher. that would still mean ~45%.
For my feeling risk for MT5 is a bit too high. But in total I am happy. How were your results?

Hi! Dude: Can you tell me your current test results and parameters for the FXpro MT4 account? I ran an EA on Fxpro MT4 software for a week, and started 6 currencies (EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, EURJPY, USDCAD, AUDUSD). The result: a trade, a loss of 40 dollars.
Hi all. Am still testing the EA on a demo acc. LiteFinance ECN and with the default settings. Initial balance was $ 5k and in just less than a month, the balance is $ 6195. The ea is fantastic. Am trusting to go real soon.
